Default Oil and Water temperature, max temp limits

i just got my modifry ect set up and i see that in the middle of the day when its very hot outside i see 4 bars(190-205 F) , and maybe 5 bars(205-220 F) for a few seconds and then it goes down again , for all the ap2 guys dont get scared in ap1 we have 7 bars in the coolant display.
but what really concern me is the oil temp under regular drive its between 212-230 F , and after a few hard pulls it gets to 248 F.
i canceld the stock oil cooler and just want to know what u guys think and also for other users to post there temps and if they use a oil cooler.
i try to search and saw some opinions that if u dont pass 248 f , u still good.
by the way im using motul competition 300v 15w50 engine oil.

in my SC ap2 s2k, i have never seen higher then 204 water temp, and that includes the dragon runs!

i wold think either air in system, too much timing in the tune, or not enough air flow over radiator.

oh, i also run a large heat exchanger in front of my radiator, and i still have never seen over 204!

You should only see ~205F+ water temps if you shut your car off on a hot day and restart it within a few minutes. I try not to do it but it's usually unavoidable.

Some sources told me in the past that your oil temps need to be at least 250F for the water moisture to be gone. Otherwise you start seeing bits of rust spots on engine parts like cam lobes, etc

Personally I always thought 250F was a bit high. Another one of those mixed opinions topics that I have seen a few answers.

i see 5 bars only for a few seconds just as the fans start.
and aslo right now its very hot here it can get up to 95F in the middle of the day and 60-70% humidity.
but what about the oil temp?
my father drives a turbo diesel vw touareg and he have a oil temp gauge there and it never pass 212F.

I've not been able to monitor oil temps, but I can tell you waht my ap2 sees in coolant.

Typical driving ranges from 180-185 normally, on a hot day in traffic w/the air on it will hit 200 pretty quickly, but the fan kicks on and it drops back to 190-195.

technically you need atleast ~212F (boiling point of water) to burn off the water. However that's just where it starts to boil so I would venture 220+ to be actually useful. I remember BMW said dangerous oil temps were 280F where failing point was 300F so that's what I go off of since Honda has never said anything on the matter.

Are you using the modifry ECT fix?

5 bars (205-220) is perfectly normal with the ECT fix for the AEM EMS.
