Thumbs down Opinions Needed!

Ok, so i have had my comptech supercharger installed for about a week or two now and i just changed the spark plugs to the NGK Iridium ix bkr8eix. So when i punch the throttle( after a rolling start and not dumping the clutch), the clutch catches fine and everything but when i get to 5000 rpm, the car basically bogs but then 6000 rpm comes up and it takes off like a rocket.... I dont get it?? Could it be a vacuum leak? But all the hoses are in the right spots... The spark plugs? Somone please chime in!!! This is driving me crazy!

Well, the only recent things i have done were: barely moving the Fuel Pressure regulator screw to rich/lean it, a BOV, and the spark plugs......But, i took it out tonight and riched it out pretty good and it seemed to run fine (it only bogged for like 200 rpms once around the 5k mark).... But no, i havent got it tuned, and as far as the spark plugs go, those would throw a CEL if they were misfiring correct?? Oh, and im only boosting 7psi with no tune..So what i started thinking was this: Maybe my engine wasnt getting enough fuel right before V-tec kicking in (obviously at 6k) so it would bog a little bit before the v-tec kicked in because of the lack of fuel, but once v-tec opened it up more, allowing more fuel in, it would take off...thats my only guess...but thats what you smarter guys are for haha. Please correct me if im wrong : )

S2khabitat, are you meaning the ESM? Electronic Signal Modifier? I used the synapse missing link instead of that thing. But no, if you are asking if i use any type of engine management like AEM ems, or greddy emanage, no, i havent got that yet. But i shouldnt have to just to run stock boost on a comptech supercharger...But i didnt quite understand the question, so just re word it if my answer didnt answer ur question.

Yes that was exactly what i was asking. Even on 7lbs i always say its better to go with a full stand alone. It kinda hard to tell what is going on but it could be detonation. You should come out to an IE meet and we might be able to help you out.

yeah, i wouldnt gun it anymore. could be fuel pressure reg. gapped spark plugs, etc, etc. im sure you dont have a wideband right? those come in handy. good luck with the car and hopefully someone from that meet can help you.

Yea, I'm down to roll out to an ie meet, when is the next one? Also, I tried putting more pressure on the fuel pressure regulator to try and compensate for what seemed like a loss of fuel at 5k rpm and it seemed to work, but what I'm wondering is if it was a misfiring cylinder, I would get a check CEL on it wouldn't I?

ur probably not getting eoungh fuel at around that rpm. could add more fuel and with a wideband use a vafc2 to trim. it would work but not to great. lol

i added more fuel last night and it did it once like i said above and took it out this morning and didnt do it at all, so maybe it was the fuel. Having no guages or tune, i am just playing it by ear i suppose.
