They still plug in to the OBD but don't require it to pass. I would still go to the emissions place and ask if they require OBD testing.

I'll check on it. I know that they don't do a sniff test on newer model cars with OBD2. After emissions, I get a readout of all the pollutants just by them plugging into the obd2 port.

I plan on pulling my supercharger belt off

that should cover it for me... Emissions is one reason I didnt go EMS...

will the engine pull in enough air through the SC when it's not spinning?

If it were me, I'd ask some local tuners if they know a place that accepts cash payment for emissions testing... read between the lines...

or you can just find a shop that will do it with another S2K and not have to worry about removing anything

Both the above are options . And I have practiced both


Not for long , soon they will be pulling the VIN from the ECU

how did you get a good tune with-out ems? i want to keep the factory managment but it seems like the only way to get the most out of your car is ems (which seems like the only way, why spend $$$ on a kit that isnt performing to its potential)

The time is now. Every new model since the 03 Accord has the Vin encoded to the PCM. You can bet the AP2 cars are the same.
