passman's turbo build
RT615's are THE WORST TIRES EVER. I've had a few sets, HORRID. Famous for people crashing on them too. I spun my car when it was 2 days old on em and I've got 22 years of race experience under my belt in everything from Go-karts to Champ cars and motocross bikes. I've been on the track with everyone from Travis Pastrana (beating him sometimes) to Kyle Bush (smoking his ass in a road course). I saved the car barely by putting it 180 degrees in the shoulder at a complete stop but wow, I was shocked how unforgiving they were, I blamed the car until I swapped tires and realized it was completely their fault. I turned some half decent times on them but they're insanely dangerous for the average driver or even intermediate driver.
They offer no audible warning as they let loose, the break away is INSANELY quick and unpredictable as well as unforgiving due to the fact that when over-heated they instantly go to ZERO traction. For this same reason if you don't use ABS (I don't) you'll find that if even barely locked for a split second they'll again go to ZERO traction and you'll need to almost fully let off the brakes to get the wheel turning again. They heat cycle dry and hard so damn quick it's incredible and turn into rock hard plastic useless tread that lasts a long time only due to the fact that it's rock hard. I've got a set right now laying around (I need to trash em) with 50% tread and they're so hard they honestly feel like plastic toy wheels off a hot wheels car or something.
The only use they have is for Auto-X where they are pretty good for the price. They were designed to come up to temp VERY quick and work effectively since Auto-X is short and sweet it makes sense. If you track em they turn mushy like snot and if you daily drive em they'll heat cycle out because the oil is excreted incredibly fast due to the quick heat up, cold grip needs of Auto-X.
The guy I'm talking about fitting 295's didn't flare his at all, they fit but BARELY. Just a roll and pull + cut the excess.

Eaxactly, thats my point, I have ran BOTH, and the regular RT615s were simply attempting to compete in the cheaper tire market, the new compound in the Ks makes for an AMAZING tire.. I have absolutely 0 complaints about them and would gladly (and am going to) keep running them on every application I ever own..

Aweeeee don't get your feelings hurt lil buddy!
Thank god they changed the compound from that prior trash. Thought that said RT615s as a plural usage.
well guys it happened, did a wot pull on the highway coming home from work 4th-5th, then i get this crazy vibration, like so strong i cant keep my hand on the shifter, thought it was 4th gear that went, pulled over and collected myself and drove home, i look under the car and theres just turquoise everywhere, theres a huge crack in my trans case, v160 time, pics coming later tonight, gotta upload them first
