Default PCV delete?

Hi all,

I've just purchased a SOS stage 2 supercharged AP1 (350WHP atm) and the previous owner unfortunately routed the BOV vacuum reference line to a t fitting in the PCV line. I am in the process of fixing his mistake and I figured I'd install a catch can at the same time. My plan is to run the PCV line to a vented catch can and then route the BOV reference line to the intake port that the PCV line was previously attached to. My question is whether it would be a good idea to replace the PCV valve entirely with a -10AN fitting and run a permanently open vent system to the catch can, or retain the PCV valve, which I believe, as I am removing vacuum by routing to a catch can, would result in increased crankcase pressure.

I assumed the first option would be better but I haven't seen much talk about the process. If somebody could also recommend a dual catch can setup with decent sized orifices for high flow track use (will also be doing the breather port at some point) for a 1999 RHD s2k that would be very helpful (I live in NZ but can ship, looking for decent value).

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

The PCV valve would just be a restriction in this case so yes better to remove it, this is how I run mine.

Thank you. May I ask how you went about removing the pcv valve? Did you use a press in fitting with the original thread (if so what size?) or did you weld in a bung?

I'm using a Vibrant AN8 to M14x1.5mm fitting #VIB-16625, but if you got room go for AN10.
Got both valve cover vents go to a baffled catch can that vents to a CT airbox, mostly to keep the smell down but not sure how much it helps.
