Default PCV Setup

quick question. I'm Vortech supercharged and moving up to a 4 inch pipe. I have a small catch can between my valve cover to the intake manifold. Now I see lots of people have different setups and wondering what the differences would be in terms of performance/reliability.

Should I:

1. put a breather on the PCV and not drill a hole into my pipe

2. drill a hole into my pipe and run the pcv to the chargepipe

3. Run the PCV to the catch can where the PCV goes to the catch can then back to the Valve cover. and block off the hole on the IM.

Please state why in your choice

Is your car an AP1 or AP2? If AP2, you can remove the PCV and install a 14x1.5-->-10AN adapter in its place. Then run a line from the adapter fitting to a catch can (open to the atmosphere). No need to recirculate (unless you're worried about emissions). A catch can setup would be ideal.

Where do you get fittings like that from? Also is there any drilling involved?

No drilling involved with the AP2 valve cover. Unbolt the PCV and install the new fitting:

I have an AP1. So the only purpose of recirculating is for emissions?

Here's a better idea of what I have now.

I don't care about emissions as I threw that notion out the window with a test pipe.

as you can tell its a cheap little catch can but i'll most likely be replacing it with an AB speed.

then would running this to a catchcan be the better option or keep the same two lines to the catch can and have a breather?
