PFAB kit installed...
Well I finally got the PFAB kit installed on my car. I know you guys are wanting pics, and they are coming...I couldnt find my camera last night and as soon as i locate it I will snap some pics. Here is rundown of what I have on this build..
PFAB Topmount LOG manifold , 3076R .82 ( true garrett ), 3" downpipe, PFAB IC w/ Pang's IC pipe setup. I am also running his wastegate dumptube as well. Everything fits well with a couple inches to spare, lol. The downpipe is a tight fit but fits without hitting anything, I took it for a quick drive around the block and I have NO leaks, and no rubbing!!
I am going to have a local shop who I have dealt with numerous times install the rest of the parts...
ACT HD Clutch
HKS Ti muffler ( gonna be a custom 3" system stainless )
PLX wideband w/ gauge
precision 750's, honda resistor box, walbro 255lph
AEM EMS 1052
I tapped the oil pan, had a fitting welded on. With this being a topmount setup and a GT3076R .82 I dont think Im gonna have any issues with oil backing up. The pan is drilled as high as possible, and GT turbos dont use a lot of oil anyways like a journal bearing turbo would. I relocated my battery which is now a PC680 to the front crossmember with a custom bracket I made. I turned the fusebox 90* and made brackets for it as well to move it away from the turbine which happens to be heat wrapped with a turbine wrap kit. Everything on the turboside of the engine is wrapped with reflective heat tape that should keep stuff from melting.
Once this thing is ready Im gonna run it at 9-10psi for now. I have stock CR and my tuner locally wants to stay in the 8-10psi range on the stock CR. Im expecting like 350-375whp or so right now. After a couple months I want to have Evans tune it, long drive but hes really good. I want to eventually run like 16psi on some form of race gas and make mid 400's and that would keep me happy for a while...I HOPE! Anyways, just wanted to update on the progress and Ill have pics hopefully tonight.
