I don't understand how his pricing works....if you piece together everything from his site seperately it comes out to like -$800 cheaper than if you were to buy his kit.

weird.

Interesting stuff on the hot side of the turbo. If that is just the reflective tape stuff, that is going to burn RIGHT OFF. I think those tape adhesives are only good til around 700 degrees.

I wrapped my Oil Pressure Sensor in that stuff, as it runs within 1/2" of my downpipe. Adhesive melted, and it fell off. Might want to keep an eye on it through a couple of heat cycles.

Also, I was under the impression that it is bad to tap the pan, as it is below the level of the oil that is in the pan (we have a shallow pan compared to FI cars that have the pan tapped from the factory), resulting in oil backing up in the drain line a bit, creating a little more pressure on the seals. I tapped the engine girdle, personally.

Pics looks good. Can't wait to see some numbers!

the stuff on the turbine is not ahdesive...lol. Its a blanket with a metal wire through it to keep it tight on both sides, hard to explain but it does work. I didnt wanna tap the girdle, and i went as high as i could on the pan so hopefully no issues.

central florida turbo tapped the pan of the 650+hp car so if you have it high enough shouldnt have problems. even if it is slightly below the oil level i dont think the oil would back all the way back into the turbo, idk

I believe there was a documented case of that same thing happening, albeit on a track car. During sweeping left hand turns, the oil really backs up into the turbo drain line. It does not have to back all the way up, just enough to put the wrong amount of pressure on the turbo seals. I think a properly baffled pan will help this out a lot. I think Greddy makes a high-capacity baffled pan for our cars (or so I have seen online). Just FYI.
