Guys,
Im desperate, exhausted, pist and heart broken. My car still has the same gas it was stored with over the winter. Not 1 mile this year. I cant get any help anywhere and I have no idea what to do next. Any help so I may get a little enjoyment out of my S before its too late is all Im looking for.
I installed a Ultimate racing FMIC, lost 4psi so I upped the boost with an 11psi pulley and injectors to get 8psi on the gauge.
With the injectors I tried AEM's FIC with boomslang. Got a Cam position B fault CEL. Ok tried 2 other AEM units and another boomslang harness. No change. Fine, now onto Greddy Ultimate with greddy harness. Got a speed sensor code and vtec comes and goes as it pleases. Sent it to greddy for testing and its been a week and all they do when I call is put me on hold until I hang up. They dont return calls or even tell me if they have tested it yet. AEM's tech support does not exist.
If I ever get greddy on the phone and they tell me they cant find anything wrong, what do I do? whats next? How do I tune this car now? I cant go back becuase I have clocked the blower housing and sealed it with the right stuff due to a bad boost leak there. I feel like I will damage it if I try to break the seal. Paxton has no more internal parts or housings for novi 1000 so I dont want to risk that.
Mark,
Im outside of Philly.
So you think the greddy harness is the issue? I will try to speak to greddy today today and see what they say if I can get them on the phone. If nothing is wrong with the unit, I will order a boomslang harness for it. Also I will compare the jumper settings. My tunner spoke to greddy and they said all jumpers setting were correct and email him their file for their turbo kit. It did the same thing as his tune. I just dont understand why vtec is on and off and comes on and sticks while the rpms are on the way down.
Thanks for the info.
Could be a long shot, but I heard of some dudes with a FIC and older ECUs that just didnt get along with a piggy at all. You can get an 03 ECU for pretty damn cheap, its a wild guess but you could try it. I know other FIC owners who did the ECU swap and it solved a majority of their problems.
