Default Plugs and MAP sensor help

Hey guys. I need some help with plug gap and MAP sensor.

1. I have a set of NGK BKR8EIX in the S. I stand corrected but this has a stock gap of 0.8mm. The OEM plugs has 1.1mm which has more spark. Am I correct in saying this? With the heat range a step colder on the 8's, if I regaped these to say 0.9 or 1mm, would I in effect make more horses?
2. I bought a SOS 3 Bar MAP sensor. I still have the stock ECU with a piggy back. Can I just replace the OEM sensor with the 3 bar in plug and play format?

Thanks

My apologies if I have posted in the wrong forum.
I have a Vortec setup - thought it would be relevant here.

Thanks

General rule is run as large a spark plug gap before spark blow out starts to occur. Generally those plugs at 0.33 out of the box are about what you want on a low to mid boosted set up in my experience. You might be able to gap them a little more but I don’t think its worth it.

1. No
2. No if the MAP is 'read' by the stock ECU, the 4bar map sensor has a different calibration range

Thanks for the reply guys.
Would I be correct in saying that the OEM MAP sensor is a 2 BAR. 1 for atmospheric and 1 for ambient. In my case I am making 1 bar boost with Vortec.
So the stock MAP sensor in my case should be ok?

as far as the plugs go, just leave them alone then.

When I had my freshly finished car tuned, I was running those NGKs at standard gap. I had a revlimit set to 8500. The first pass on the 3.6" pulley (13psi SOS 1200 kit) went fine. I turned off the car and decided to go with a smaller pulley to meet my power goal. I installed the 3.4" pulley (14.5psi) and continued with the tune. This time however, the car would not accelerate beyond ~7900. After multiple passes, I pulled the plugs and regapped them to .027 and all was fine after that.

So from the sounds of it, it sounds like you are going to be running over a bar of boost. In that case, I figure Id share my experience, as you will most likely experience the same.

Thanks for sharing bud.
So you actually made the gap smaller than the out of box gap.
I dont have any spark blowout @ 0.33 so I'm definitely not going to increase the gap

I'm revving to 9000 - I have MY05 F20C
Boost is at 1 BAR

I'm considering increasing the limit to 9300 if I can still run the SC safely.
my dyno graph shows power still peaking at 9000
