Cool

I know it is the FI section, I was just checkin out numbers while slow at work and I thought I would let others know my numbers too. I weep for anyone on here that is turbo and does not make over 400whp cause that is sad, the most pathetic thing out is the greddy turbo kit, horrble numbers!! There is even an article on it in Super Street. Considering people runnin that kit are only makin about 80hp more than me? And on 10lbs, sad. I have only bolt ons have not even touched the throttle body or head or anything.

baggin on people or kits because they may have a different outlook as to what they want to do with their car is sad? What is wrong with having 2800-2900 lb car with 300-390 rwhp? Not everyone who is turboed is intrested in 400+ rwhp.

I also assume when you comment about the amount of horsepower and torque differences between you car and the greddy kit you both are running at least on the same dyno and under the same conditions..

I understand that but why not make more and then tone it down?? Its nice to have the power when you need it or want it. I am just making the point that if you are gonna spend six grand for a turbo kit and to gain that little amount of power seems like a waste to me. Also most of these numbers people are getting are not on a dyno dynamics, like mine was so in which case they actually make even less power and torque than proclaimed.

can i see your dyno sheet?

and another thing, who cares how inefficent the greddy kit is by your standards. It has one thing any kit you build wont, a CARB #. that alone is a decideing selling point for some consumers, its not all about HUGE HP numbers to everyone. Diffrent kits for diffrent needs.

you supposedly have 218whp which i will take as truth for the moment, but dont come around bashing cars w/ the greddy kit as "slow."

so you think u've got a n/a beast? good for you. you're a big fish in a small pond when it comes to n/a only power. this is the FI forum...you just left the pond and landed in the ocean, dont talk down on cars w/ more power then you've got...bottem line they're still faster, no matter how fast you THINK you COULD be with the same $ investment.

Ok i get it, it just doesn't seem like a wise investment thats all I am saying. If you want a car with just a little more power, you should buy one with a little more power. Like a 350z or STI. If you do that the car will be more reliable also cause you are not modding the motor.

Dude, why can't someone want a little more power in their S without going balls to the wall? Your replies are redundant and frankly I don't think you put down 218WHP in an AP1 with a snorkler and 3" exhaust that is probably hindering power. I'm pretty sure 2.75 was the best choice for an NA S2000 but don't hold me to that

1st of all, I have 220WHP on an AP1 with just a few bolt ons, so I know it IS possible.

But J, I totally agree with you on not everyone needing huge power numbers with an S. I would argue that a 280-300 whp S2K is a darn near perfect car. And a 300 hp 350Z is a heavy, poor handling, and ugly comparison to the s2k.
