As far as the sensors...not worth it when I'm about to sell the car.

As for the horsepower increase...I don't see why not, its a dyno dynamics dyno, not a dynapack or dynojet, and I'm sure with enough fans you will be able to replicate wind speeds.

I guess at least I'll shoot for a reliable, yet more agressive tune.

I dont think you will really gain much at all honestly from just switching to a larger IC core. Unless your old IC core was extremely undersized would you really gain all that much. The old core was good for 600whp and you were making 405whp or so....you arent even close to maxing it out. You should do one pull at the same boost before tuning just to find out, but like others said. Log the IAT's and if they are consitently lower then youll gain some power, if not then you may gain nothing. Youll also have slightly less transient response since you are moving to a larger core it takes the turbo just *slightly* longer to fill the core.

if you're about to sell the car then why experiment with a different sized intercooler? Sounds a lot more difficult and expensive than a couple sensors to determine if it actually made a difference.

You might be able to drop 2-3 degrees C.

rule of thumb is for every 1 degree of intake temp drop you get 1% more hp, this is why spraying your fmic with no2 or co2 drops the intake charge and produces more power. now for a larger intercooler, i would think more surface area of air, the more efficent the cooler is. now we get into a heat soak issue (florida is a hot state) you would get to a point that the temp of the car/turbo/air intercooler would not change no matter how big the fmic is!
Why doesn't someone do an air-to-water turbo setup!!! this is what i am going to try to sell the next s2000 build as!!!!!!!!

IP has already tried this and for the cost it's not as effective as a FMIC is. Also, you only get heatsoak in the summer in traffic or after doing pull after pull after pull.
