Default Powerband with Comptech SC

Yesterday my mechanic installed the 11lb pulley in my SC and after my tuner took action Below is the result. It is a comparison chart between my 9lb pulley with custom exchaust and 63,5 Berks cat and the 11lb pulley with 70mm Berks cat and J's Racing single RS exhaust 70mm. It is also a bone stock F20C

Car mods:

Comptech SC with 11lb pulley with aftercooler and spearco water cooler
AEM 1052U
Koyo aluminium radiator with cooling mods
Toda header
Berks 70mm cat
J's Racing single RS exhaust 70mm

The only problem i have is i am loosing cooling water from the aftercooler or from the intake cooling system generally (i have a spearco water cooler too) which is so little i cannot find it since it is not dripping but you can smell it burning. It must be dripping in a hot place of the engine and it is evaporated so cannot find it.Any ideas whereto look for?

Also friend of mine is selling an intercooler (it uses air not water like the spearco) from a vortech SC. I want to take it but i am scared i will lose pressure. What do you think?

Very nice power. I'm still debating if I should go to 11psi or not when I get my Bosch injectors installed.

Only thing holding me back is that at 9psi is that I don't really want to upgrade my clutch setup just yet.

Could you post some picture of the spearco water cooler setup? Also, what clutch setup are you running at 11psi, and is it holding good?

Good numbers. I made almost exact numbers on my 11psi comptech set up. If u go with a fmic you will loseca little bit of boost, but if your AC is working well I'd just keep it and save the money for headwork or something else.

it really depends on the tubes that you will use.
just to get an idea , a member of our forum with the Ultimate-Racing Front Mount intercooler reported 0,5 psi loss.

Just up the boost today!

This thread actually helped me tip the scale deciding between staying at 9 psi or go up to 11psi.

All I can say is that after back to back dyno pulls, going through the data log, it seems like the Aftercooler is definitely not cutting it. After just a few pulls, the IAT goes above 140, and the car looses between 10-15 HP. This wasn't the case back at 9 psi. I have all of the standard cooling mods, like the T. Stat, fan switch, radiator cap and the Hondata Intake manifold gasket.

I'll be looking for better cooling solutions in the near future to bring the intake temp down a bit.

Glad i helped

When you mean the IAT goes above 140 you mean fahreneit? I am using the spearco watercooler together with Comptech aftercooler and after a few pulls i can see 65-70 degrees celcius or 55-60 at cruising speed and my tuner thinks that this is a lot and i have to put intercooler

Nice powerband!
Hopefully by next week I will have all my cooling mods up and running and we will be ready to see differences between 10 and 11 psi...!
