I am very pleased to see this thread as I have just purchased a PPG transmission myself. I am very excited to see the gains in acceleration compared to the stock ap1 trans. I think joeyballs picked up about 9mph just by going ppg.
I've dropped the trans on s2ks in general so much that I've become a pro at it. Took me less than 2 hours to install everything myself without a trans jack and lift.
I will keep everyone posted on my thoughts. Just waiting on my diff to come in.

Imo the shifter is one of the best parts of this car. That was the biggest reason i didn't want to go to another trans option. I do a lot of spirited driving and besides the s2k trans is super rewarding to shift fast.

Great write up and tons of info.. all those issues because of a rear is crazy

The gearing is definitely advantageous, but with a synchro box I don't think you are going to see gains like this across the board. The dog box I would totally believe that though.

Absolutely! It sucks the Dallas one got cancelled later this year but I fully intend on going back out and setting the bar at 190+
