I run the 6165 which is very close in relation to the 6265. I picked up about 30hp on the same boost level on my inline pro log manifold on my last retune just by switching to this turbo from the sc6152. car made 525whp at 19psi and felt super strong.

I really would like to know more info on these turbos since precision didnt really release anything about them. I basically just know it has a 65mm turbine wheel. If anyone has more info on them it would be nice.

I called them to get information and they told me "We found that compressor maps are unnecessary and that no one uses them so we don't make them."

WTF

Nice dyno Peter!

Rob, the turbo you have uses a compressor similar to a GT35R matched with a turbine the size of a P trim but with better aerodynamics. The 6262 uses an even better compressor machined from billet aluminum. They flow more air and can sustain higher boost pressures.

dsddcd, compressor maps are very expensive to have made, and most people dont use them. They are nice to have as a tool to pick the proper turbo, but most guys dont need them or use them. If you want info on a turbo ask someone who does a lot of tuning.

so the 6165 will produce more power then a 35r? thanks for the info on this.

Here is a dyno from Jeff Evans website from my 6165 dotted line is the 6152. Both are at 19psi.

They would be close but the 6165 is slightly better than a 35R. The 6152 uses the same compressor but essentially uses a T31 stage 5 turbine wheel.

There is engineering and there is opinions, in the automotive industry there are too many people that live by hearsay and not fact.
