Default Precision 780cc...

I have precision 780's and as nice as bosch 1000's would be I cannot afford them. If I was going to upgrade to anything it would be larger Precision injectors since I am already set up for them. I have a single Walbro 255lph. Whats the most people have made with 750-780's? Thanks

How maxed out were you with them on your old set up, I would think 450-500hp or so would be close. Seems like you really need to move up to 1000cc.

I am unaware of what my duty % was, will have to ask my tuner. Youre right, Im probably about to max them out @ 500 or so. i was hoping they would get me by...I could go with some 880's or something. I would love the Bosch 1000's but Im poor now.

depending on what fuel pressure you're running and type of dyno the car is run on, you should be able to make about 500whp. You might want to rewire your fuel pump with the larger gauge wire to increase the voltage on the pump. That should help with flow.

Just check Evans dyno charts and passman made 540 on RC750's. I should be fine then to max out the 30R on 780's.

Well just think how poor you will be if you take your car in for a tune to hit a wall with your injectors, then have to pay for new injectors and another tune. I mean you can do it but your gonna be real close. I think injectors are better if you don't run them all maxed out, I was always told around 60-70% is best. There are calculators avalible on line as well. Good luck with your decsion, can't wait to see how it turns out

The kinda what I figured was right around 500whp or so. I may re-wire it to achieve a little higher voltage.

If youre going bigger skip the 880's, go right to the 1000cc. I would agree 500-550ish will be the most you can get out of those 780's.

Thanks the the input guys. reason I want to try to stick with the 780's is because i have a 3076R and it tops out in the 500-550 range anyways which seems to be where my injectors run out of steam as well. I may still upgrade them to get a little headroom...not sure.

depending on rpm, efficiency, and target AFR 450-475 (dynojet) is what we typically see. have gone over the 500 horsepower on a few cars.

kind of like the old 1000cc injectors and a walboro fuel pump.....some cars would run out of fuel at 550, others would make mid 600's. every car is different.
