The more I think about it, the more im just going to leave the gap. I dont think it will be that noticable with the oem grill left in the bumper.

I have a precision 600 and it actually sits lower then this one. I like the radiator to get as much air as the intercooler. I am not really worried about the aesthetics of it.

Maybe its because your ap1 and your bumper is different, If you can take some pics, id like to see how it sits!

Mine sits a little bit lower than that on my AP2 as well. It's marginal though.

the picture is deceiving b/c of the angle, if I dropped the camera to the ground, you'd be able to see an easy 4-6 inches of radiator space there.

Im sure if you kept your stock black grills with the intercooler behind it, it would not look that bad at all.

That is correct, mounting the FMIC directly flush with the path of the airflow to the radiator = very bad idea. Your temps will rise, it's been proven with just adding a front liscense plate, I promise you...and that thought of extra power you thought you gained from more surface area for the ambient air to hit is gone by your excessive heat.

You should have just mounted it how it came, how it was MEANT to be mounted. Your choice, just don't come crying here if you overheat and melt something.

Peanut butter, I am willing to bet that you have an external cooler of some kind or live in a cooler climate.
I do not have an external cooler, i have the coolant lines hooked up to the turbo, and today it was 90 with a 70 degree dewpoint
