I don't care what anyone has to say. These are your issues. I've probably sold, installed and tuned more PTE, Garrett, BEP, BW units than 80% of the people on this forum. I've ten cars in the shop right now with PTE units. One of those being an S2000. You absolutely don't get oil from the VTEC solenoid. Especially with a restrictor. It's the internet but I am not trying to be an ***hole. Live and learn on this one.

plan is to ditch the stock oil pressure sensor and feed off that. and should i use or not use a restrictor? Guess I could go without one and keep an eye out for oil. Would it be on the intake or exhaust side most likely?

Best thing I've found that I like is the sandwhich adapters. Filtered oil, and it makes it nice to run other lines like oil pressure/etc without having to have crappy brass fittings all over your engine bay.

I agree with siadam sandwich plate keeps it much cleaner but if you go off the sensor port you will need a tee with a 1/8bspt male end to thread or since I already had a 1/8npt tee I just got a 1/8 bspt and a 1/8npt on the other side of the fitting and it was done with. Yes you still need a restrictor with a jb turbo

Don't ditch the oem oil pressure sensor unless you have a dedicated pressure gauge installed and setup right.

Just T off with a fitting and re use the the oem sensor on the end of the fitting.

just an update. they said it was starved of oil. they are fixing it under warranty and i told him im going to change oil feed to the oil pressure and get rid of the restrictor. if it starts smoking or any other issues, i will call him back and go from there.
