This particular case is due to user error not any fault of the turbo.

I will be shipping the turbo to precision tomorrow. Inside the feed line, I did see like small tiny flakes of metal. Not sure how to handle that. It wasn't very many and they werent "chunks" so i wil def be doing an oil change and I also found my radiator leaking. Not sure long this has been going on. I popped the top and checked and still saw fluid so not sure what could have happened with that. :/ Guess it's an excuse to upgrade that as well...

another problem is it was journal bearing turbo requires more oil that restrictor prob wasn't helping at all. a restrictor should be used on a ballbearing turbo because it requires less oil. but i agree with tapping the oil pressure as well. vtec tap LMFAO

To clear up a few misconceptions: oil pressure is never zero at the vtec oil pressure switch (at least on a healthy engine); ball-bearing turbos typically use a 0.035 restrictor; large bb and journal bearing turbos use a 0.065 (which is what the jb 6262 is/was currently running on this car). This is not to say that the vtec oil pressure sensor port is the best location for an oil feed; he can easily switch to the oil pressure switch port, should he so choose. Derric, can you clarify what you meant when you stated that the turbo is 'blown?' Oil leaking profusely from the cartridge? Bent/broken fins?

I saw no oil on the intake or exhaust side. The propeller has a lot of play and the inside of the intake snout has some ridges from the propeller rubbing. Take a look on my facebook and you should see where it made contact. They should be getting the turbo tomorrow or so.

Exactly what happened with mine. Precision take 8-10 days to call you..... Just a heads up.
