Default Prepping for FI

I tried the search and couldnt find exactly what i was looking for.

Anyways, what preperation, if any, would be needed before installing/buying a turbo for my S. I'm positive it'll be the inline pro kit that quite a few users here have and I trust their decision. Its an 01 ap1 with 71k on it and stock motor - maintained every 3k miles with appropriate fluids. I know the diff. is a weak part in the S, so for example would that need replacing beforehand? Any help would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks!

clutch, possibly a battery relocation, fab up some heat shields. Diff may last awhile but be prepared foor it to go at any time i.e. have one ready or at least the money to purchase one if it does happen. Head gasket if you are going more then 9-10 pounds of boost. There will be many many small things that come up on top of the "kit".

Not sure if it applies with a turbo car
But alot of ap1 that go supercharged usually change thier bango (not sure if its spelled that way) bolts, that squirt oil to your cylinders.
ap1's have one hole on the bolt and ap2's have 5
You'll do some serious damage if you dont change it
Actually duh i just finished changing my friends bango bolts on his car and he's installing a turbo kit on his car, and he's very particular about his car so i would assume you need to change your bango bolts aswell.

Yes it does apply. They are actually banjo bolts "because they are shaped like the instrument" and the ap1's have 2 "squirters" and the updated version has 4. It is a definite must to change these.

I never changed my banjo bolts and I've been FI for about 2.5 years. Do you think that means I am lucky, or that I already have the new bolts? Also, you don't NEED to change your diff. If you're going to go dumping your clutch all over town, you might need one, but I have had no problems with my diff at all on spirited street driving and a few runs at the track.

Yeah, does anyone have a pic of these, how much are they, and how hard are they to change?
