Prepping for FI
They started replacing the bolts in the middle of the 2002 run. You can look and find the vin numbers for the vehicles that had the new banjo bolts. The bolts look like a banjo hence the name. Very similar to the banjo bolts for the brakes. Pictures won't help, find the part number. I payed 64 bucks for 4 at the dealership. Make sure to have the part number though when you go to the dealership because they won't know what you are talking about either.

Where can you check the vin?
My friends motor blew after a few hours
Well he scored the cylinder walls anyway
For the most part i think if it happens, it happens within a few HARD runs.
Dont quote me on that.
Hopefully someone can chime in on after what Vin number this was.

Oil squirters aren't even necessary for Forged pistons.......
I HIGHLY doubt your motor will sieze from lack of lubrication on the piston....The oil actually just cools the piston from the underside.
If you have a good tune (ie..rich enough) you will be fine. Fuel cools the piston.
Soooo...If you have a bad tune to start, the 4 hole banjos or two hole banjos won't make a difference. Just make sure your tune is good and you're set. Spend your time and money elsewhere on the car/motor
