I suggest getting some real engine management.

What are your A/F ratios?

Sounds like you are using a VAFC?

FMU to me is a fuel pressure regulator.

Whats your setup?

Ok, Im not a mod or even a member, Im just a guest but a website is only as good as its members. And in an effort to improve this website Im gonna make a stand right here:

Either post some helpful info or shut the up.

Ive been coming here for a few months and its apparent that there are some unproductive attitudes around here. Not as bad as Honda-Tech but not as good as TurboD16. This isnt the fault of the mods, this is the fault of the membership, we tolerate this kind of crap and so it continues. So again Ill reiterate Im making a stand. Im not singling you out, RZFD, you just happen to be here at the time.

Anyway, just my thoughts. I was going to post this in the Site Info section but it seems no one goes there.

Hopefully someone will back me up.

What does "fuel at -40" have to do with a FMU?

Most all turbo S2k's are using a AEM EMS. Not a AFC and FMU, not an E-manage.

An e-manage has just about the same capabilities as a VAFC, with the exception of being able to drive injectors directly, as well as limited timing control.

You'll have a hard time getting tuning advice from any of the turbo'd owners because so little of them use a AFC/FMU.

It's also widely accepted that the AFC/FMU is not only a bad idea on a turbo car, but completely insufficient.

I would use an AEM EMS. If you add up what youve spent in "other" methods of management, you will have crested the cost for an AEM. Since you have some of my products, I will send you my basemap that should be a TON better than what youre using now.
The problem with the VAFC is it screws with timing so badly; its a side effect of dialing back the MAP sensor reading to the ECU. Obviously this is a bad thing.

I'm sorry, "unproductive"? My post was neither mean spirited nor sarcastic. If he does get an EMS system (and a tuner worth a damn) I don't think anyone here will argue (including yourself) that:

A). His engine will be safer under boost
B). He'll make more power
C). Drivability will improve

This IS the best suggestion!
The first thing I bought for my turbo kit was the AEM EMS.
Search around and read about how many have had problems with using an FMU for fuel.
Terry from spool-turbo (no longer around) had detonation problems with his e-manage when, at the time, there were no ways to adjust timing(just like a VAFC can not do).
Turbo=time and money.
Also search "Cbender" and read his problems about his FMU.
The EMS has tons of features to protect the motor(over boost protection, timing control etc...) which will save you a motor in the long run.
