Default Problem with Greddy turbo kit question

Ive had the kit on for about a week and I just started to get on the pedal a bit because I had to break in the clutch. But the car is hesitating when I stomp on it and it just like bogs and backfires when the pedal is to the floor in first gear, but when I ease on it - it goes well and spools fine. Also I was wondering if it could be from running to rich or do I just it to be tuned? Because last night in 4th gear I took it to 8k and when I shifted I shoot out a fire ball and kind of backfired as well. I am not to sure what is wrong, please let me know if anyone has any idea's. Thanks

I think you should get your car tuned first before driving it hard.

Just to clarify, fireball out of the exhaust is generally afterfire: unburnt fuel in the exhaust stream that gets ignited on the way out. I'm guessing you're catless? If so, this can happen. But it does sound like you may be running rich, amongst a host of other potential issues (timing, etc). Like mystique said: get tuned before driving it any harder. Tuning is less than a new motor.

Go see a tuner.
Just because the emanage comes pre-programmed doesn't meant it is going to be perfect for every car.

Yes that is what I will do, schedule for tuning because I definatly dont want to mess anything up. I have way to much time an money into it to blow it. Also I am catless with a j's 70rr, exedy hyper single, and 4.56 gears and I am using the supplied emanage ultimate.

Well the Ultimate comes with a base map, and I needed to break in the clutch before tuning.

Breaking the clutch in usually means driving it fairly timidly; not at 8k rpm's or stomping on it

I have only got on it a couple times just to figure out if I had any problems after I got 400 miles on the clutch, and I only took it to 8k once last night. I have been staying under 6k.
