Default problem with leaking BOV

Did a boost test while 2 other people examined the engine bay. I ended up having to replace my wastegate (POS Revhard) with a nice Tial.
It was leaking really bad out the bottom. The turbo spools quicker & overall the car is faster now, but still not up to par.

The only other place air leaks from is the BOV.. from the bell part
If I pressurize the system to say 20 psi, it all leaks out rather quickly from the BOV... not as quick as before. It only hold 3 to 4psi with the test

I know some is supposed to come out, but how much? Do I need a new BOV?
The one that came with my kit is a knock off Greddy.

I make full 7 to 8 lbs of boost when driving, but I think its because the turbo is working harder to compensate.

Are you pressurizing the vacuum line to the BOV while you pressurize the charge piping?

The vac line that goes to the intake manifold is still on there when I do the test.
should I take it off & plug both fittings before I pressurize the system?

Deception... Get rid of that BOV quick man.. i've had this kit TWICE.. and when i helped other people with it.. i told them what works.. unfortunately you got the crappy WG and the fake BOV..

I've upgraded the kit when i first got them both and never used the crappy WG, i did however get the greddy fake... i swapped for a real GREDDY RZ... its better than the S or RS..

that should fix things for you.
