Default In the process of purchsing my VOrtech Kit

So I am getting my kit next tuesday from Vortech, and aside from the basic set up I have heard that I shoudl consider getting supertech valve springs and a retainer in case I miss shift, (which never really happens) and a new clutch which i think is smart to do.

I also plan on getting some boost gages so I can monitor the charger. Dont want to spend too much money on this but is there anything that I should definately do alongside the supercharger? I dont want my engine to blow up. So I am willing to take the measure to prevent any possibility...

Any help would be appreciated..

-Alex

JonZ I should have bought yours...just didnt have the cash at the time...

Congrats Alex, now you can live up to your screen name You don't need new springs and retainers although it's nice to have them as added security. If you decide to do them might as well get the head ported, etc.

I would strongly recommend an A/F gauge first, then a boost gauge. You'll most likely need to upgrade the clutch at some point. If it's in good condition now you can hold off and save up for it later.

No worries about the SC, I'm quite content with my current setup Get that bad boy on and let's go for a drive.
