Proper wiring for windband?
I just got my PLX DM 5 Combo in which includes the gauge and the control box.
I was reading through the instructions and was hoping that I got it straight. The only thing is that when I follow the wiring instructions, there are left over bits so I'm hoping I didn't stuff something up.
Here's my understanding of it and a photo for reference (I'll list each input as a number from 1 on the left to 5 on the right):
1 - female plug connected to a couple feet of wire with open ends (red and black) red wire to ignition power and black to ground, female plug into control unit.
2 - 4 pin harness that is coming out of the a/f gauge. Only one wire is connected (the top left wire) for running a/f readings then pluged into the control unit.
3 - Female mini plug coming out of the a/f gauge that is then connected to a male mini plug to male mini plug adapter that connects into the control unit. This is the TX (transmit) wire.
4 - Male mini plug coming out of the a/f gauge. Connects directly into the control unit.
5 - O2 sensor harness, connects directly into the O2 sensor plumbed into the downpipe.
So do I have this about right? I'm looking at the a/f gauge itself and it has the two mini plugs coming out of it (one male and one female, but then I have to use the male to male adapter for the female plug to plug it into the control unit) and the 4 prong harness (which is only using one plug for a/f. I can hook up the other wire for lambda it says).
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are a couple of photos:
