Default Wire tuck in progress

I'm in the middle of moving my fuse box and eps to the fender due to heat from my turbo and we are extending everything and it seems to be a slow tedious process but it'll pay off. My question is for those who have done it before,

What's the best way to extend the plug going to the steering rack, it's the one with the red and green wire from the eps module to the steering rack. it has a much lower gauge wire and it seems like solder wont be the best way. Do you use a butt connector?

I soldered in the same color and size wire from a cut harness I had and shrink wrapped it with no problems.

I did the same thing as Ghetto. Works fine. To power the starter and Alt I went from the beack tho instead of the front. I jumped the alt to the started with a 2 gauge wire and then a 2 gauge wire all the way back to the battery threw the firewall.

Sounds like everyone's method is pretty much the same. I soldered the wires together also and shrink wpapped them, then ran them through the cross beam over and fished them out on the other side which puts it right at the steering rack. Except now my EPS is throwing a code 30 and the reset technique will not work for me so the EPS isn't working at all

Lol. Thanks. When I get finished this week I'll put up some pics I took

So far I'm pretty sure that this is gonna be worth it and it's just one more thing to prevent a another car fire thread. We thought the hardest part would be mounting the eps and fuse box but since I had some nifty brackets from full race it was the easiest part so far

For the lower gauge wire on the EPS use a torch and ditch the soldering iron. The solder works well its just the iron cant get the whole wire hot enough. Torch will have you soldered up nicely in no time.

took some photos, We unloomed the harness to extend what needed to be done and them I'm going to reloom it all and make it look good again.

moved the fusebox and EPS to the fender, Full race's fusebox bracket came in really handy here



Looks scary huh?
