Default Ptuning dumptube woes

Alright everyone, I'm having a hard time with my dumptube placement with my Ptuning kit. I've shifted it, the wastegate and the down pipe several ways and the dumptube still makes contact with the frame when im turning left and the engine shifts slightly to the right. This of course creates a lovely buzzing, vibrating, metal on metal sound, not to mention will eventually wear a hole in the tube.

Any other Ptuning owners out there experiencing this? What solution did you come across? I tried wrapping that section of the tube in heat wrap, but it still makes contact, buzzes, and eventually the heat wrap wore through to the tube again. Can other Ptuning owners post pictures of the way your tube, downpipe and wastegate are positioned? I would be most grateful.

Have you checked your motor mounts recently?

I had that problem as one of the first few Ptuning owners. It might be your pass motor mount; I never checked mine. I just shaved off some of the chassis with a small dremel and called it a day instead of trying to play with the vbands.

Passenger mount is brand new. And of course the Ptuning mount is new as well with like 1200 miles on it. Its the street 60a mount. There is just no effing room right there! I guess dremel it is. Did you spray some primer and a little clear coat to prevent rusting there?

I never had this issue. I remember having plenty of room.

I wouldn't be so fast to cut/grind into the car, this kit wasn't designed to have to do that... Keep shifting things around. Maybe rotate the turbo on the manifold just a bit. That should move the downpipe a little toward the motor/trans, and then give a little more room for the dumptube.

Any pictures AFs2k? Would like to see how you positioned everything if you have any pics from installation.

I will take a look and see if I have any, I should. Give me until tomorrow though.

Don't go hacking on the car though, that's not the answer and too many people just grab a grinder or something... using a grinder or a hammer on a car is wrong. (unless it's a must)

I haven't had that issue either. Did you install yourself or have Ptuning do it? Not that anyone who installs themselves aren't competent, but sometimes the creater of a mod would know better on how to install. Silly question, but, have you contacted Ptuning?

Check out my build thread. I had some rattling but just rotated dump and turbo slightly problem solved.
