Okay, lets all just wait and see if we can hold the boost we want with the kit. If it does become a problem then we can start a new thread, until then it is only speculation so please lets move on.

What are the advantages of putting the bov on the hot side of the piping? Mine and most kits have it on the cold side before the throttle body
It is better to vent off the hotter air whenever possible.

HondaToyota - im going to have to call your bluff. Ive been working closely with BW for years, and dont know you. Nobody on the BW team would have this poor of ettiquette to go into someone else's thread and behave this way... also no way you have a twinscroll EFR on order, that is not possible.
/threadjack sorry ptuning

edit: are you a BW intern?

[QUOTE=spdracerut,Nov 17 2010, 02:58 PM] From looking at the compressor maps, it's my estimation that you will NOT see much difference if you only run ~12psi as that's still well in the regular 3076 map.

It has been discussed that there may not be any difference in power or response between the gt or X. The benefit as you stated is in the higher psi.
I just think people need to be very clear on what to expect. I'd hate for someone to buy a GTX3076 instead of a regular GT3076 expecting some huge power gain if all the turbo will ever see is 11-12psi (flow rate of very roughly 40lbs/min).

However, it's very clear if you start plotting out to 18+psi (flow rate of 50+ lbs/min), the GTX will definitely make more power than the regular GT because it will be more efficient.

So I dont know if I am reading compressor maps correctly but it seems to me with the gtx30r @ 14psi your already gaining benefits (top end) over the GT30R in the efficiency islands, as much as 4 or 5 percent.

So it can better hold a flat torque line instead of dying off like a lot of dynos I see of the GT30R.

Again.. that is if am reading it right.. i just googled how to read compressor maps 1/2 hour ago....
