Default Pulled the trigger and bought VTSC

Well I just did it... after searching and searching and getting feedback from people I just bought a VTSC for my 2005 AP2. Now just waiting for Vortech to build the kit and hopefully have it on my car by next week! I have a question though... I have a Berk Hi Flow cat and Skunk2 exhaust. Will this cause my car to run lean ? sorry for the dumb question.

You should be ok but put it on a dyno to check before driving.

Thanks Sideways! I am freaking super stoked! My wife and I just found out we are having a baby so I told her I wanted to buy one big thing before we started our family... So I went with the supercharger haha.

I looked into those... CARB is what sold me. I know having a HFC is not CARB legal but that is an easy fix. Taking off and on a supercharger is not for me.

after paying for upgrades for the vortech to squeeze more horsepower, why not go the turbo route..... There are few great turbo kits out there to make excellent horsepower for the money.

I could have easily bought a turbo kit, however as I said CARB was the selling point. Certain mods are easy to take off a car (test pipe, HFC, injectors, high boost pulleys, AEM or Kpro), however a non CARB approved turbo kit or supercharger ? Pain in the a$$. No thanks! plus if you get caught rolling around with one of those kits there is a good chance you are going to the State Ref and getting a $1,000.00+ fine. plus taking the parts off your car. I know the VTSC is not crazy powerful like a Inlinepro kit, Full Race or any other turbo excluding the greddy kit. But for me i just want a little more power and have the ability to mod it a little like some guys on this forum have. Yes i know it will be expensive... but who ever said BOOST was cheap?

Get a Modifry Redline Shift beeper and it will keep you out of the rev limiter.
Best addition I've made.
