S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Pulled the trigger and bought VTSC

I could have easily bought a turbo kit, however as I said CARB was the selling point. Certain mods are easy to take off a car (test pipe, HFC, injectors, high boost pulleys, AEM or Kpro), however a non CARB approved turbo kit or supercharger ? Pain in the a$$. No thanks! plus if you get caught rolling around with one of those kits there is a good chance you are going to the State Ref and getting a $1,000.00+ fine. plus taking the parts off your car. I know the VTSC is not crazy powerful like a Inlinepro kit, Full Race or any other turbo excluding the greddy kit. But for me i just want a little more power and have the ability to mod it a little like some guys on this forum have. Yes i know it will be expensive... but who ever said BOOST was cheap?
That would be the only reason I'd ever go with a s/c for the carb exempt.

Thanks Sideways I will be getting one of those for sure. I did check out the group buy however superchargersonline had the charger for cheaper and is right next door to the place I am going to have it installed (extreme automotive). I am really excited. A couple months ago I was on the fence of selling the s2k and getting a C6, 370z, Evo or Sti. I kinda changed my mind when I stepped back and looked at the reality of things. My car is an 05 and has 14K miles on it. I am the original owner and the car has been paid off for 2 1/2 years. So basically my car is brand new and I dont need to go out and spend $40k+ and have a wonderful car payment. I can mod this one and be as quick and have as much fun as any of those other cars. Plus there is nothing like driving our street legal go-carts!

after paying for upgrades for the vortech to squeeze more horsepower, why not go the turbo route.....
i'll be the only one on the planet to say it, but i dont care.

not everybody is interested in a turbo powerband.

i'm coming from making well over 400whp on my inline setup, and i'm going right back to a centrifugal for the driveability. im not knocking turbo setups at all - i just want my s2000 to still feel like an s2000.

Rude comments and publicity are two totally different things.

Congrats!

As for the lean..dyno is your best best or you can get a AEM A/F gauge. But I am pretty sure you will be fine...

Good luck! Post some dyno numbers!

Yeah I did the same thing better to do it now cause once you have the baby it's tough to find the funds cause your wife will spend all the money on the baby, trust me on this.

You will enjoy your car boosted, just make sure you keep it nice.
