Pulley Change - How to?
OK I'm sure I'm missing something here!
I have a 3.625" pulley and belt to upgrade my Comptech SC & AC setup.
The pulley has the key slot same as the OEM crank pulley.
I presumed you swap the OEM pulley off, along with the Comptech pulley which is bolted on the front of it.
Then it occured to me I would then only be able to run one belt, rather than the two that are on now (Comptech SC & OEM serpentine).
That confused me!
I did some searching, checked the FAQ & DIY threads, read the workshop manual and the Comptech instructions.
Then I released there is a pulley on the back of the blower.
So the question I have is when you do a pulley change for more psi do you change the crank one or the blower one?
If you change the blower onewhat torque do you use to tighten it?

You don't change the crank pulley. Just the pulley on the supercharger.
I just tap it down with three or four hits of the pneumatic wrench. The pneumatic wrench also helps with the removal of the bolt.

Locking pliers will also help you get the bolt off the blower pulley more easily. There is no need to take the blower out the car. Just loosen the 3 main bolts on the supercharger bracket just enough so the pulley has room to slip off. Use the locking pliers on the pulley along with a wrench on the bolt. A breaker bar will also help you loosen the bolt fast. Don't lose the little key or you are screwed. I retightened the bolt hand tight with just a little extra nudge with the breaker bar.
