Default Purchasing Inline Pro Kit this week

One of my friend is selling his kit since he burnt out a coil which fried cylinder 1. He is selling his inline pro kit complete with aem ems, injectors , aem boost controller, and oil pan. He wanted to go back to stock so he needs some of my parts like the intake, injectors and headers. He wants 2500 for everything. Is this a good price. I was waiting for a vortech kit since I heard how reliable and less maintenance they have compared to a turbo but the feel of a turbo is great. All that power under the curve is great.

Please let me know what you think or what I should look for. The only other thing I think I need are a fuel pump and colder spark plugs.

By th way, my car has 133k miles but still run like a champ. Currently have vafc with a/f gauge and oil pressure Gauge.

Thanks again,

with 133k miles i would have a cylinder test/check before boosting to make sure something like that doesnt happen to you

Basically a compression test? Anything else to check? Plan to boost 8-9 psi to keep it safe.

And regarding my friend with the coil, I read that happens I'd the car runs to lean, which he said it didn't, too much timing, or spark plug loose.

He originally had an issue with the kit since they removed the resivior due to te piping and the water kept on leaking out. Eventually ran without water and the aem kept shutting off his car since it was overheating. He didnt know about this until 2 months after when he noticed water leaking after a drive. After he put back the resivior he was fine. Not sure if that would have causes that. He did a compression test after this happene and it was 30, 160, 160, 190. If I do one, what are good numbers? Never have done one.

Even low numbers are good. As long as the numbers are pretty even.

Great thanks for the info Dre. Another question, is there anything I need to worry about regarding heat issues? I know I would need to run the car for like 30 sec to 1 minue if I run it hard before i shut if off. Also do I need to use a oil relocation kit. I know he has one but if its not necessary i prefer not to use it. I just want to minimize the points of failure or leaks.

Also, he currently runs a 3 inch exhaust, I run stock. Will his downpipe fit mine? I was planning on using his aem base tune, running easy, for a day or two until i drove the car to the shp to tune it.
