I think the inlinepro stage 1 requires a relocation, but if u have room for a filter than thats good. U can drive on his base map but dont boost much just to be safe because all cars and tunes are different.

 

Compression results in. 190, 190, 195 and 200. Am I cleared for the turbo install? That good for 135k miles?

Got a quote from a friend's friend which owns a shop, mainly deals with evo's (Worked with hondas before at his old shop), for 400 dollars to install the inline pro kit. He mentions that the inline pro is a bit difficult to install since to mount the turbo you need to lift the engine a bit. Is this true? Does 400 sound about right?

If he is going to have to lift the engine should I also change out my engine mounts since they are the original ones. I use a torque damper so I never have had issues before with rattles or engine noise from vibration.

Regarding Tuning, might use a place called machines gone wild locally in miami. They want to charge me 350 since my friend knows them. They mainly deals with Evo's as well but has built turbo s2k's before.

Finally, since this kit is used, should I change out the oil relocation rubber gasket since its been on my friends car for a year. Would I have to call inline pro if I needed one or can i get one locally?

400 is a fair price I guess. I don't think you need to jack up the motor though.

I did a guys single turbo rx7 for 500 a few yrs back...among upgrading his fuel setup...but I knew him, so I cut him alot of slack.

 

You definatly don't have to lift the motor but $400 is cheap b/c there is a lot of fab work to do.

Unless your mounts are torn don't replace them.

$350 sounds cheap, are you sure they know what they are doing?

Thanks for the info. I talked to the guy and he seemed pretty nice. He also would said he would change my banjo bolts to the new ones i got since he has to take off the oil pan from the other car to the new car.

Yea they said it should be 350-400 for the aem ems tune..

Would it be a big issue running my stock exhaust with a 3" downpipe? I would hate to switch the exhaust since I cant stand the drone all aftermarket 3" exhaust have.

Keeping it under 10psi, is their any recommendations to prevent detonation? I already purchased 1 step colder plugs.
