how do you know if your car was wire tucked? i have a s2k that was previously turboed and the engine looks 100% stock, nothing seems out of ordinary. i know it was turboed because there is a HKS turbo timer in the car.

I wouldn't even consider it especially being that it's across the country and I can't see/drive it myself. The s2000 isn't that rare that you have to "settle" for this one car.

Considering buying my lease out...not sure if I can find better deal elsewhere. My car is '07 GPW with red/black interior. Pretty mint condition minus normal wear and tear on bumpers, 44k in miles. buyout is $19k so im still on the fence.
If I had this color combo I would buy out the lease.

GPW = Win. Buy out your lease.

You can put turbo timers on NA cars. Just cause it has a turbo timer doesn't mean it had a turbo. The previous owner could have been a silly ricer who put the timer on to make himself feel cool.

You may want to ask how long was it turbo'ed. Who did the work and tune. If it was turbo'ed for a short period of time and the work and tune done right I think it would be OK. But if it was done by the owner and the HG work was not done right, and the tune was poor then you could have an issue down the road.

Turbo timers are also part of remote-start systems on manual transmission cars (you need to leave it running in neutral, as to not start it in gear)

Yep my Viper alarm has the remote start option. In the instruction manual it talks about the turbo timer feature, which will come in handy once I get my Ptuning kit.
