Putting the first production SOS TS-MAX Kit through the wringer
This kit is rock solid. It made the S much much more thrilling and enjoyable to drive (yes, even on a road trip). The Review
The Setup:
SoS TS-Max GT3076R .94 A/R
SoS 70mm test pipe
SoS wastegate solenoid valve kit
Flashpro w/ modified ECU for pulse modification
Walbro 255
ID 1000cc injectors
TR1 70R-EM sparrow dual exhaust
Some conditions my S and the kit endured over the weekend:
- 16 hour drive the first day (minus 1 sit down meal, occasional fill ups, bio breaks)
- Temps ranged from 43F in the cool CO to the 102F scorching AZ
- Elevation changes from ~100-10,000+ ft
- Adverse weather/road conditions in the desert, mountain, and plains
- Constant hwy/city/hwy abuse (This wasn't a Interstate hwy run from point A to point B)
Teachable moments:
- Avoid New Mexico
- Take the S back to US160 between Durango and South Fork in daylight.
- National Forest in AZ doesn't actually mean there will be trees
- The fuel pump gets really pissed off on road trips
- AVOID NEW MEXICO

Yep, I've never actually done anything except drive through New Mexico and that was on the way to mountain bike in Winter Park, CO. Good thing was the highway was all completely redone and smooth, but the speed limit was 55mph and there was no civilization in sight. In Tx there was green flat nothing. In NM, there was brown almost flat nothing with a couple of big rocks or piles of dirt. Well, all except the volcano.

well new mexico is a beautiful place some of it butttt there are things you should research before you go like the super sh*tty speed traps and is best to avoid the reservations that being said if you ever get the chance the Jemez mountains cant remember how its spelled but pronounced hamis take hwy 4 out of Bernalillo north of Albuquerque and it will take you to santé fe its an alpine forest and very deserted the only area in new mexico I would ever go to again I guess because it looks like Colorado and I can still carry a pistol on me without fear except those dam reservations there laws are weird looking forward to your revue
