Nice review! Got a few questions for you..

You say you have a modified stock ECU for pulse modification, could you elaborate on what/why this was done? Also, any chance you could snap some up close pictures of the car/kit? I'm sure many folks would love to see some pictures of the installed kit from the underside, especially the clearance to the mount/etc. Also, is a walbro really necessary or is it more a matter of being cautious? I thought I read of folks with the SOS SC kit running ~400whp w/ the stock '06+ pump. Thanks!

The factory output does not have an output to control a boost control solenoid. Hondata will modify the ECU and add an extra output for $100 that allows you to control boost through flashpro instead of having an external boost controller. It also allows you to do boost by gear/RPM as well.

My brother works at that gas station you stopped off at in Kirtland out side of Farmington.
Didn't see him that day. If they haven't fixed it in 10 yrs, It doesn't look like they'll be fixing it any time soon. Where's all that $$$ going? Lesson learned on my end and hopefully this will steer others away from these routes.

Agreed. Very happy with this configuration thus far.

Sure. I'll try to snap some close up when the weather cooperates. As it relates to the Walbro, my stock pump was not keeping up for whatever the reason. Since 255lph is the most a returnless system can benefit from, it just made sense to throw it on there. According to SoS, a similar setup ran w/ the stock pump just fine.

The Setup:

SoS TS-Max GT3076R .94 A/R
SoS 70mm test pipe
SoS wastegate solenoid valve kit
Flashpro w/ modified ECU for pulse modification
Walbro 255
ID 1000cc injectors
TR1 70R-EM sparrow dual exhaust

Some conditions my S and the kit endured over the weekend:

- 16 hour drive the first day (minus 1 sit down meal, occasional fill ups, bio breaks)
- Temps ranged from 43F in the cool CO to the 102F scorching AZ
- Elevation changes from ~100-10,000+ ft
- Adverse weather/road conditions in the desert, mountain, and plains
- Constant hwy/city/hwy abuse (This wasn't a Interstate hwy run from point A to point B)

Teachable moments:
- Avoid New Mexico
- Take the S back to US160 between Durango and South Fork in daylight.
- National Forest in AZ doesn't actually mean there will be trees
- The fuel pump gets really pissed off on road trips
- AVOID NEW MEXICO

Not yet. I was told by SoS that one isn't nesessary unless you plan on tracking with it. That being said, I'm looking to throw one on there just for the peace of mind and when I decide to track her in the future.

UPDATE: Just changed the oil after logging 3.5k on this kit and realized this kit doesn't use the stock S filter size (have not received my stock parts or paperwork from SoS yet so I was flying blind). You'll need to use the NSX equiv filter part#15400-PL2-315 with this kit.

Good to know for anyone else running the kit.

Yeah, it's their oil filter adapter that has a 90 degree turn down for clearance. It's on the site.
