Default Question about comptech SC install

Hi guys,
I just received my comptech SC and did some parts of install last night.
When i did the Step #5 follow the comptech instruction (VTEC Mounting block), The 10x45mm bolt was hard to put in because it was hitting the header heat shield (no clearance between them). i had to use some force to bolt it in. The edge of the heat shield got bended from the mounting block. my questions are will it affect anything in the long run? can the mounting block take the heat from the heat shield? do you guys have the same problem?

Thanks

i have aftermarket headers so i didnt have this problem, but I dont see how a bent header heat sheild would ever cause probs (maybe some rattling?). And yes... the block can take the heat, considering its bolted right to the block.

Thank for the help.
I emailed comptech as well, they said it won't cause any trouble.

Your golden...

I've installed a lot of the Comptech Kits and every now and then the shape of the OEM heatshield will be just close enough to cause a problem with the bolts.

What you did is fine..

well, First i couldn't get it in because i bolted 3 smaller bolts in first. then i took them out, bolt in the 10x45 bolt with force (heat shield got bended), and everything went fine.
