Question about Greddy Kit and base map
Im thinking of going FI on my S2k. 1st off Ill give reasons why I chose the Greddy kit over the "better" kits on the market. This car is my DD, I have my FD for my go fast fun car, and lately Ive just become bored of the S2k, and have been thinking of selling it, but Im going to give it one last chance with some boost. Since its my DD, Im not really power hungry, 300WHP would be plenty to keep me interested. I want a kit that is complete, easy to set up, and not have to take to a tuner when complete. This is where I have a question, how good (safe) is the Emanage base map that you get with the kit? I would also like to do a high-flow cat and catback system at the same time, but only if it would still be safe on the base map tune.
Some people have run the basemap just fine, others have had to retune. With a high flow cat, you'll most likely have to retune, but you probably won't have to spend much time on the dyno b/c of the basemap, so if you have a good tuner, it should be fairly cheap.
You can get an unlocked map from Greddy. I'll email you mine too, although it is for an AP1. The base tune seems to be very conservative, as expected. I've got a cat back and a high flow cat, and have added 1 to 1.5 degrees timing. The AFR is ~ 11.4:1 at WOT on the stock boost level on my car. No boost spikes.
I highly recommend the Berk high-flow cat. They use the Magnaflow spun metal core cat. I noticed a major power increase with this unit over the stock cat, and I didn't want to use a test pipe.

a BOV isn't included b/c contrary to popular belief, it's not needed on every car...especially on the S2000 since there's not MAF. No BOV = lower retail price also.
I have an RS bov though
but i put it on b/c the RS bov is actually quieter and has a cleaner sound than the compressor surge. Don't want to call any unneeded attention before the kit goes carb legal!

I'm still hoping someone puts in the money to get a TP, catback, headgasket, and 15psi.
