Question about Longevity of fuel pumps in returnless fuel setups
Looking for a little feedback on the life span of high volume pumps in the returnless fuel system of 06+ cars. I noticed that I can now clearly hear my Aeromotive 340 pump running and it seems to be making the noises of a dying pump. It was basically silent when first installed. I would guess i've put around 2500 miles/3months on the pump so its def. not very old. I first noticed it several weeks ago while setting in traffic with the radio off. Now it seems to be getting louder. I did not do the rewire/relay mod as I'm only at 400hp and I didn't feel like it was necessary. Basically just wandering if this is normal for these pumps. I know the 255 in my old cobra was clearly audible over a strait piped V8 but it lasted for years with no issues. Anyone else with these pumps have any issues. Thanks for any input. Oh, i'm only running 93 fuel if that matters. No E85 or race fuel.
