Default Question for high HP/EMS guys

So as the title states....what do you guys do when its time for your emissions test?? Cuz I believe mine is every few years or so and its the only thing stopping me from upping the boost and going EMS and achieve my goal of 450-500 hp. What do you guys do????!?!? Do you just slap in the stock ECU and have it run like crap to test (if thats even possible)?? Or do you detach certain parts and stuff to pass smog? Do you sacrifice it and just swap shit back to OEM when the time comes and then put it all back together???

I register my car 30 miles away at my friends so I do not ever have to go to deq

Most would suck it up and swap back and worth I would think.

Well I was in same boat as you so I just ponied up the extra funds and slapped on a kpro instead of the aem ems and I can pass emissions now without having the PITA pulling stuff off nonsense.

I a word...money. Kpro is not cheap for 00-05. $1600 for box, cheapest I have seen. $375 for extra parts to make kpro work with rsx ecu and the labor to install it.

I also went Kpro specifically for this reason. Knowing that I won't have to try to find "a guy" or swap back to stockish form was enough for me to cough up the extra bucks.
