Thumbs down Quick AEM 1012 question

I'm about tp pay for a used 1012 EMS and just wanted to make sure that this is the correct "older version" for our cars. The model on the box is 1012-0019.

I know this isnt the newer 1052 but the cost is definitely right. I figure if it doesn't have the hardware update (something solderer inside) I can just drive it over to AEM and have them do it for me.

Sweet. I was just unsure because people usually post that the part number is 30-1012 but the sticker on the box said 1012-0019.

Keep in mind it's larger than the 1052 unit so it might not fit where the stock ecu does. You may want to pick up an extension harness and put it under the driver's seat.

Thanks for the input John.

I did see a few posts with pics that showed that people actually got them to fit up in the stock location pretty good. For the price I guess I can deal with the slightly larger case.

I also remember people talking about getting something "upgraded" or soldered in the box by AEM so that the box starts better?

Working on getting that extension harness after a little research.
