Default AEM EMS for MY06

Since no one else is posting a NEW TOPIC on this subject, even though a lot of people seem to know about it, I figured I'd make one because I happen to come across this news under a topic of the Hondata Reflash. Well... here's the post from the man himself that created the harness for the AEM EMS to be compatible with the MY06...

http://forum.aempower.com/forum/index.php?topic=16231.0

If anyone has it, please post your thoughts... I'm think I speak for everyone that it would be highly, highly appreciated... thanks a million...

I just want to know if it runs nicely or has issues. Another issue... I think this usually happens with piggy-backs, and this could pretty much be considered a piggy-back cause it still utilizes the stock ECU... but will the stock ECU override the EMS at any point?

Just wanted to know the thoughts of people that have it or are prototyping.

Just spoke with mike at Autowave in Huntington Beach about this. He mentioned that due to the returnless fuel system in the '06, Comptech is having problems adjusting the fuel pressure for their superchargers. He said that with the EMS, this can be taken care of. So for the Comptech supercharger, upgraded fuel pump, upgraded injectors, aftercooler, 9.5 lbs boost, EMS and tuning will be approximately $9200.

That's not that bad if you think about it. Just think of it this way... you could sell off the S and used that trade in, with the 10k and get somethign that is... Ehhhhh, Ok... or you could take that 10k, get all the stuff you listed and have yourself a F'in Beast!!!!

Are the issues with the CEL always on, and lack of cruise control, fixed? The last I heard, the EMS was "done" but not "finished"...

Not sure about those issues... but yes you are right... it's done but not finished. They're still working out some little bugs supposedly... someone (LagunaS2K I think) on these forums called the guy and that's what the guy told him.

How will it not work if you are still running the stock ECU?
