Quietest supercharger system

The quietest I've heard is the original KW kit that I used to have. My new TTS kit comes very close...the BOV is just a tad louder. The SOS kit with either the 1220 or 1200 is considerably louder than either (whistley...if that's a word) I have not heard the HKS kit. The old SOT kit with the Eaton I have not heard...but the same blower on an Si is a bit whiny...not terrible though.

My Novi 1220sl is super quiet, the only time I hear it is at idle. I'm running an 11 lb pulley too.
The vortech kit is RIDICULOUSLY loud with a smaller pulley so I'd definitely avoid those.

That one is super loud past 5000 rpm. You can really scare people who are next to you with their window open, I have done that a couple times. But the roots blowers make pretty much no noise at idle. I swapped out my MP62 for a TVS 900 in my SOT kit and it still is silent at idle, and much quieter at high rpm, although now that I am spinning it to max rpm with the new pulley (20,000) it does make a nice whine at the top end.

I just want less mechanical thrashing and noise at idle, I don't mind if it makes noise when moving, ie. whine from the roots type actually sounds good to me. I just know that the centrifugal are sometimes very loud at idle. How is the original KW kit silent but the new one so loud when both leverage the same type of blower? Is it the cogged belt system that's so loud?
