Default Random firing when engine is not running

I have a 1052u unit in my ap1. Sometimes when I turn the ignition on, at the same time the fuel pump fires and the engine pops. Sounds/seems like it tries to fire. Like the spark plug ignites fuel, but I have not even attempted to start the engine.

I typically wait for the pump to start before I attempt to turn the engine over.

Any ideas?

I think that this is normal as my 1052 box does the same exact thing . It only seems to happen if the car has been sitting for several days .

is it right when you turn the key to 2? Mine used to make a "foomp" sound if you wanna call it that, but I think it was just built up pressure from the turbo...

mine too makes a noise at times when turning just the key and cycling the fuel pump before starting the car.
Hasn't done it lately, but I've also wondered what the cause is.

looks like a similar problem we are all having. I still don't understand, maybe the fuel injectors is blasting open.....?

It throws a spark and the cylinder holding compressed gasses / fuel vapor fires off.
