Thumbs up Rear End

How much power are you guys running on your rear end?! How much will the stock rear take before blowing itself up? Whats my best option for my turbo coming soon?! Im also looking to do some drag strip runs... any help would be amazing!

Drive it like you aren't a complete idiot, and it should last you.

Guys that are out sidestepping, sliding it around doing launches @ every street corner on the ones that tend to blast theirs into a million bits.

Although this isn't always teh case...I've seen the rear end go out of a stock s2k.

I don't believe I've seen a set # regarding what power level is "too much"

its a crap shoot. but if you launch hard it will severely shorten the diffs life regardless of your power output. so far, mine has about 10 launches on it with my power, and maybe 10 more when i was na. another 10 or so coming towards the end of the month.

with the mase turbo kit your gonna make serious power. whatever though, the more power you make, the more likely things are to break. its the nature of the beast

The stock S2000 diff is one of the weak spots in our car. It can go just on a stock motor depending on how u drive it.

I used a comptech "reinforced" rear end (before I went with the R200) and without launching it was perfectly capable.

if you don't mind me asking... how much is the R200 diff? because i have the same Comptech diff set-up that you used to have and it still works fabulous for me.. granted that i never launch the car. But there will be a time eventually when i will want to do 4-6k dumps. im just wondering how long it will last hahah but the R200 is in mind

between 2-3k depending if you want the 600hp kit or the 1000hp kit (remember it comes with reinforced drive shaft / axles as well)
