1st is useless, though today I went WOT in 1st...it put a smile on my face

Yes you can get the brackets but then the axles will be the next thing to break...the tranny is much stronger then the rear drivetrain

they're are cheaper solutions out there, it's just the bracket that is costing so much. For example I can get a cobra 8.8 rear diff for $250, axles would cost between $1200-$1700 depending on which ones I wanted. The Cobra drive shaft can be reused, it would just need to be shorten. The hardest part is getting a bracket.

A ppg setup is a built tranny.

An engineer with access to a CNC machine will be able to position the rear end, measure the requirements for the mounts/brackets, and have them cut from a durable metal blank. The hardest parts to source would be the axles and drieshaft..

On the other hand, I KNOW I don't have the skills to cut the Cobra driveshaft down to size and re-weld it so that it is balanced enough for the revs that our stock shaft sees... Maybe somebody who can pull it off would be willing to spend the time to do it and possibly design a kit that would be cheaper than the IP Kit?
