I work on cars daily for a living so high temps is nothing new to me but that was something else. I wanted a kit that was also more rounded. I want to build a car that is more or less average in all aspects, not a one trick pony. I feel that kits like the AFI are more geared for drag racing and similar where you have time to cool down after a run. When I first bought the kit I only cared about having a fun street car but the idea of tracking wouldn't go away lol. I was heavily in favor for the SOS TS-Max kit, the KW and HKS superchargers were a close second. Ptuning wasn't an option until the one I bought popped up in the FS section.
Yeah going from my comptech kit to my new pfab setup ...turbos do put the heat off. I keep looking for ways to help with it. All part of the game I guess

I also have a Berk header-back . Absolutely love it!

When you "relocated" your fuse box for the AFI manifold, it looks like you just tilted it forward? I wonder if I could do this as well with my ram horn/catch can; if possible I'd like to avoid the PITA procedure of relocating the box to the fender.

It's very possible. Look through my relo thread linked above for more detailed pics.

This is what gets me and others alike to do future business with companies like this.

What ever happened with this situation? Did they catch this guy? Recovered any of your losses?

I also have this kit, but haven't installed yet (pending ems, clutch, injectors and a couple of other misc things). Until my install I have to live vicariously through you and your build lol.

This is a great build thread. The backstory alone is very interesting.

Unfortunately no. Nothing recovered, dbag is still out there someplace. Connecticut was willing to help me but they needed Jacksonville to at least make a police report and they wouldn't cause he was from out of state.

Nice write up, seems you've had quite the journey!!

If it was me I wouldn't rest until I found that w@nker and did him some serious damage!

Do you still have the GTX3576? What if so what power are you seeing against PSI?

I have a GTX3076 and no numbers yet, kit isn't installed. Will probably start tonight and work on it some tomorrow. It's really hot out so working in the garage isn't something I want to do.

Finally unpacked everything today. Prisoner of Doom (s2ki member) doesn't play when he ships stuff. I must have removed a metric ton of bubble wrap from everything. Laid everything out, thinking about painting the intercooler black before installing. Brought my tools home today from work so hopefully I can get something done tomorrow.

Also, all the fittings to change over to braided lines for the coolant lines showed up. I helped install Jimreapers Ptuning kit and one of the times we were taking the turbo down for something, found the coolant line was leaking. He got replacements from Ptuning but they started leaking too so I'm going to nip this one now and install the same lines he did.
