Redline S2K's Build Thread
Yeah, I'm not liking the logo on the intercooler. I'm glad mine doesn't have it, otherwise I would've painted it black. Could you give us more info on the fittings and coolant lines. Where did you purchase them and what part numbers? I will nip this in the bud as well.
Finally unpacked everything today. Prisoner of Doom (s2ki member) doesn't play when he ships stuff. I must have removed a metric ton of bubble wrap from everything. Laid everything out, thinking about painting the intercooler black before installing. Brought my tools home today from work so hopefully I can get something done tomorrow.

Also, all the fittings to change over to braided lines for the coolant lines showed up. I helped install Jimreapers Ptuning kit and one of the times we were taking the turbo down for something, found the coolant line was leaking. He got replacements from Ptuning but they started leaking too so I'm going to nip this one now and install the same lines he did.

Made some good progress today. Last pieces I needed to get the car running showed up yesterday. Berk Catback pipe and 1/2 plug for the oil pan. I wasn't sure what to do exhaust wise being that my exhaust was a header-back. I was thinking either custom or HKS single until I found that Berk makes a pipe to turn their header-back into a cat-back. Problem solved for a lot cheaper than making or buying an exhaust.

Engine mount, oil pump, intecooler and cold side pipe were installed last weekend. Meant to update but forgot.

This keyhole, that's actually shaped like a key, is perfectly cut to fit the oil lines running to the oil pump and this bracket moves the AC receiver dry back for more intercooler clearance. Love the attention to detail Ptuning put into this.

Not painting the intercooler yet. Jim wants to take pictures once my car is running with two cars that have Ptuning intercoolers.

Black pipes look good with the valve cover.

Myself like others had to modify the turbo manifold a tad. The manifold doesn't slip on easily so the outer holes require a little drilling

With the holes drilled out, the manifold fell into place. Removed the factory oil cooler and installed the supplied threaded fitting for the oil filter. New filter installed too. Will replace with factory Honda filter later this week.

GTX goodness with lines install. Installing this thing straight on this manifold is a pain by yourself

Mounting the downpipe to the exhaust loosely helped greatly with installing the turbo properly. I didn't have an extra set of hands but a block of wood and the jack works great to hold the downpipe with turbo attached up while you play around with the manifold vband until you get it seated right.

Oil lines ran from turbo to pan to pump. Wastegate mounted and dumptube mounted (this was also a fun job alone). Tomorrow I just need to run coolant lines, run to store for some hose clamps (ones provided were to loose for my liking). Run the hotside intercooler pipe and vacuum lines. Once its running good with no leaks, I'm going to clean up all the wiring. I may find another way to run the coolant lines also instead of running them all the way to the manifold and throttle body.

Wow dude, hell of a bumpy road! You'll love the Ptuning kit, the power delivery is super smooth and "natural" feeling. I have the Gt30 turbo and the car pulls like a bat out of hell.
Definitely a smart move with the braided water lines, and they look better too. Install is pretty straight forward, you'll likely need a friend to help get the turbo onto the manifold. Its extremely difficult to get it on straight by yourself and it'll leak. Good luck man!
Edit: I was typing as you posted, lol. Installing the turbo is a BITCH by yourself!

Update 8-20 (work done 8-18)
Cars just about ready to start. Jim stopped over again and helped me finish lining up the downpipe and dumptube. Plenty of room now and shouldn't have any vibration issues. Installed the hotside intercooler pipe and ran the coolant lines.

I didn't have to trim this side but I put painters tape around the pipe just in case. The Ptuning charge pipes have mounting brackets to hold them in place with vibration mounts so I don't expect it to move much. I also added a piece of rubber hose that I cut long ways to the headlight bracket edges above the pipe.

Wiring is still a mess from the last kit but I plan to clean it all up once the car runs and any bugs are ironed out.

Here is how the car sits now. Could have finished it Monday but I misplaced the IAT plug for the chargepipe. After calling Ptuning I found it so all that's is left is that, add oil, vacuum lines, and reinstall the battery. I'm thinking about buying some purple radiator stays and valve cover washers to go with the two random purple coolant lines or putting electrical tape over them lol.
