Default Relocated my battery

So I needed to relocate my battery in order to get started on my turbo build up. I had to meet a few requirements, however.
-Most important was keeping a powerful battery due to my love of music and 800watts of JL amps in the trunk. So a small motorcycle battery was not an option here.
-Not much room in my trunk, because as stated, it's full of audio equipment.
-Could have put it in front of the motor on the cross beam, but I think it's ugly and big there (keeping stock sized battery, again not a tiny one that is not noticable)
-Wanted to mount the battery as low as possible to keep a low center of gravity.

So I was going to mount if on the passenger side behind the front bumper underneath the headlight. But it would have been VERY tight to almost impossible with the 3" IC piping.

I did a quick few measurements after getting my 750hp precision IC mounted up, and what do ya know, it looked like it was going to fit between the IC and the condenser.

I just used 1" square tube and the OEM battery tray and tie down method.

Now I realize in it's location it will be blocking some air flow to the radiator, and even worse with the IC in the way. But with the large sized OEM radiator, I feel it will be fine. We shall see once I get everything up and running and start beating on it a lot

Enough talk, on to the pics.

The start of it, getting everything tacked up:

All mounted up, looks OEM to me!

Looks like an interesting place to put it. Other than possible airflow issues.

yea your blocking off like half your radiator with that battery maybe a v mount on the intercooler would help out some possible cooling issues. v mount equals sex

Thats.... Very interesting were you located your battery LOL. I relocated mine right behind the radiator next to the cross beam..(in front of the motor but infront of that one bar thingy) and its a great location.

I hope that the position that you choose won't be an issue for future installations......Intercooler...Oil cooler Etc. But that spot you put it at is definitely new to me

I doubt there will be an issue, i will set the fan to come on early in the AEM for low speed driving, and on the highway (which is mostly where I drive the car) the air should be forced through.

Well, with the heat that turbo's create and blocking off about 1/3rd of the radiator, I think I would think about venting the hood. But what do I know? Unique solution though.

with all the weight up front from a turbo, I would of moved the battery back to redistribute the weight.

to me, the only annoyance will be when the battery goes bad. otherwise, it shouldnt be a big deal. taking thebumper off to replace a battery though would annoy me.

I put mine in the area where the spare was, along with my amp. Worked out great.
